The Reporting Team are responsible for delivering robust end to end financial reporting processes. It is a challenging and interesting time for the Reporting Team who are integrating and developing various IFRS and regulatory reporting processes.
Joining Finance you'll be part of a team driven to excellence in terms of pace, efficiency and delivering meaningful financial information to executives and senior management. You will have the opportunity, and be expected to, influence thinking across the business and drive positive technical conclusions whilst building relationships with colleagues.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Technical Reporting Manager to join the team and lead the development of technical accounting processes. This role represents an exciting opportunity to lead a small team to develop and embed a quality technical service offering to a range of key stakeholders within Finance.
Key Responsibilities
*Technical review and challenge of various regulatory reporting
*Independent review and challenge of asset valuation methodologies
*Oversee delivery of quality technical papers on new IFRS standards and regulations
*Lead the delivery of proforma statutory accounts for various legal entities
*Lead technical review and oversee delivery of technical considerations for projects and business change
*Key technical point of contact for the external auditors
*Lead the delivery of quality technical board papers as required to support the work agenda
*Provision of technical advice and consultation on application of IFRS standards and Regulatory rules
*Provide support, where required, to the IFRS and Regulatory Reporting team, particularly in regard to understanding of entity results
*Maintain a sound knowledge of IFRS accounting standards, regulatory reporting standards and industry practice in order to ensure compliance with legislative requirements
*Apply technical accounting and regulatory principles to complex practical situations
*Presentation of technical papers to senior management
*Support the work of the team analysis through review and technical advice
*Represent the Reporting Team at both departmental and inter-departmental meetings
*Responsible for staff management and development of small technical team
Essential
*Proven track record in a technical role and experienced in Solvency II regulations and IFRS
*Knowledge and experience of working in a large financial reporting environment
*Strong analytical skills & attention to detail
*Good communicator with the ability to build excellent working relationships
*Strong track record of academic and career achievement
*Good Excel and report writing skills
*Recognised accountancy qualification
