Shared Services Finance Transformation Manager - Glasgow / Western central belt

£54,761–£70,239 - FMCG - Qualified Accountancy & Finance
Ref: 2764 Date Posted: Friday 21 Aug 2026

W&A is working with a major global organisation to recruit a Shared Services Finance Transformation Manager on a two-year fixed-term contract, based just outside Glasgow with hybrid working.

This role will help shape the transition of transactional finance activity into a more standardised shared services model, with a focus on process improvement, service design and delivery.

The Opportunity

Working with the Head of Finance Shared Services, you will support the design and delivery of a future-focused shared services model across transactional finance. You will analyse where activity can be centralised, simplify end-to-end processes, define service expectations and help build the governance, measures and enabling tools needed for a consistent, efficient and well-controlled service.

Key Responsibilities

•  Support design and delivery of the shared services transformation workstream, coordinating inputs, actions and stakeholder engagement.

•  Help define scope, service catalogue content, operating principles and service expectations, clarifying responsibilities and hand-offs.

•  Analyse finance activity to identify centralisation and simplification opportunities, applying LEAN or similar methods to remove non-value-added work.

•  Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement to strengthen service quality, control effectiveness and cycle times.

•  Develop practical service management outputs, including SLA approaches, KPIs, reporting requirements and governance measures.

•  Document key end-to-end transactional finance processes and ensure service, process and control implications are reflected in future designs.

•  Coordinate delivery through detailed design, execution, go-live and business-as-usual handover.

•  Track risks, issues and dependencies across finance process teams, controls and ERP-enabled transformation activity.

•  Support requirements and readiness for workflow, case-management and other enabling tools needed by the future shared services model.

•  Prepare clear governance materials, updates and communications to support decisions and change activity.

About You

•  Experience in business process analysis, process improvement and workstream delivery within Finance, Shared Services or a transformation environment.

•  Practical process improvement expertise, with experience of LEAN or similar methods for standardisation, root cause analysis and cycle-time improvement.

•  Strong finance transformation and project or programme delivery experience, ideally in a complex change environment.

•  Good understanding of shared services principles, service management and governance measures such as SLAs and KPIs.

•  Strong analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn insight into clear and usable outputs.

•  Well-developed planning, organisation, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

•  Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving programme.

Package & Benefits

•  Salary: £54,761–£70,239.

•  Two-year fixed-term contract.

•  Broader benefits include pension, bonus opportunity, flexible working and private healthcare.

•  Location: just outside Glasgow, with hybrid working.

Why Apply

•  Help shape a shared services model from design through to transition and embedding.

•  Combine finance process improvement with service management, governance and technology-enabled change.

•  Gain broad exposure across transactional finance and a major transformation programme.

•  Join an international premium consumer business investing in more consistent and scalable finance operations.
