Regulatory Reporting Senior Analyst 9 month Fixed Term Contract - Edinburgh

In a nutshell

As the Regulatory Reporting Senior Analyst, you’ll be responsible for supporting the Regulatory Reporting area with process improvements and strengthening the control environment by improving data management.

What you need to do

• Review and document current data sources into Regulatory Returns.
• Identify process improvements which will simplify and result in better controls for data processing.
• Identify opportunities for consolidating data sources.
• Work with the Data Management Initiative program to improve understanding and documentation of data linage for Regulatory Reporting
• Work with the Regulatory Reporting team and the data management team to plan and implement improvements identified.

What you need to know and show

• Experience of data management
• Experience of the financial services industry would be beneficial (but not essential).
• Accounting qualification would be beneficial (but not essential)
• Exposure to regulatory reporting in the banking sector would be particularly valuable (but, again, not essential).
• Highly numerate, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong PC skills, with an emphasis on data handling tools.
• Well organised and able to prioritise workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
• Excellent team player with ability to working closely with others to deliver results.
• Strong relationship management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
