The Opportunity
You’ll manage end-to-end payroll delivery across several group businesses, covering both hourly and salaried staff. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex, data-heavy payrolls including overtime, shift patterns, bonuses, commissions, and private mileage.
  • Prepare, reconcile, and submit all HMRC and pension (Standard Life) requirements.
  • Work with People Planner and CS Time data to resolve time & attendance anomalies.
  • Maintain accurate records, calculations, uploads, and payment files.
  • Liaise with Finance to coordinate timely payments.
  • Support varied monthly payroll cycles of different sizes and complexities.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong, proven experience running full end-to-end payroll — especially input-heavy/positive payrolls.
  • High accuracy, strong numeracy, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Confident independently managing multiple payrolls and tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable with multi-entity environments and different pay structures.
  • Available Monday–Wednesday as core working days, with flexibility for additional hours if needed.
  • Desirable: CIPP qualification/study, experience with Cascade, People Planner or CS Time, and multi-company/group payroll exposure.

Package & Benefits

  • Pension: 3% employee / 5% employer.
  • 31 days’ holiday including public holidays (pro-rated).
  • Fully office-based role (no hybrid currently available).

Reasons to Join

  • High-ownership, hands-on payroll position with real influence.
  • Complex, multi-business environment ideal for experienced payroll professionals.
  • Supportive, professional team that values accuracy, trust, and reliability.
  • Opportunity to step into an essential role with strong internal visibility and impact.
