ACCOUNTANCY & FINANCE RECRUITMENT
W&A is supporting an established Scottish business in Dalkeith with the recruitment of a Management Accountant for an initial three-month temporary assignment, with the possibility of becoming permanent. This is a hands-on role offering a varied remit across management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and project accounting, working closely with an established finance team.
Contract: 3-month temporary assignment, with potential to become permanent
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Start Date: Immediate – applicants must be available to start straight away
Working within a central finance function, you will support the preparation of monthly accounts across several group companies, initially focusing on a property investment business.
You'll work alongside the Management Accountant, property team and external managing agent to establish accounting processes, reconcile control accounts and support accurate financial reporting.
Prepare monthly management accounts for a smaller group trading company, for review by the Management Accountant.
Support the preparation of monthly accounts and balance sheet reconciliations across other group companies.
Work with internal colleagues and the managing agent to establish accounting processes and reconcile balance sheet control accounts.
Complete project cost reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Assist with financial information and reconciliations ahead of the 2026 audit.
Experience supporting management accounts preparation and balance sheet reconciliations.
Confidence working with financial information across multiple areas of a business.
A practical, organised approach to meeting reporting deadlines.
The ability to work collaboratively with finance colleagues and wider business teams.
£45,000 annual salary.
Initial three-month temporary contract, with the possibility of a permanent appointment.
33 days' annual leave.
