IT Auditor - Edinburgh

Wilkinson & Associates is partnering with a retail bank headquartered in Edinburgh, seeking to hire an IT Auditor.

The role is responsible for supporting the senior team members and the Head of Audit in delivery of the audit plan for the bank’s Chief Information Office and the wider IT functions. 

Furthermore, you’ll engage with stakeholders, using your knowledge of IT controls and financial services to provide insights and promote improvement in the risk and control environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be innovative, taking an interest in and supporting partners in embedding audit methodology, helping deliver against the IIA standards and the Financial Services Code
• Collaborate with other audit partners to support understanding of the IT controls that underpin the business processes
• Be recognised by stakeholders as providing value and insight and use this to support the Head of Audit in development of the audit plan
• Committed to developing career and keeping abreast of regulatory and industry changes
• Display accountable behaviours and values  

 Required Skills & Attributes:

• Experience in delivering multiple high-quality audits aligned to audit methodology
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Experience working in a fast-moving environment with complex IT risks and controls, ideally, but necessarily within banking
• Relevant qualifications would be an advantage (CISA, CISSP or equivalent)
• A good understanding of IT controls and an ability to apply this to work
• Excellent at communicating and building relationships with internal stakeholder
• Strong written communication skills and experience of delivering good quality audit papers to audit methodology
• Collaborating with your team to achieve high standards
