Interim Management Accountant - 2.5 month FTC - Edinburgh

W&A is supporting with a 2.5 month contract that offers the opportunity to work in a high-performing consultancy based in Edinburgh.

Working on a hybrid basis (typically two to three days in the office), the contract runs through to end March, with an immediate start required.

The Opportunity 

This is a hands-on and commercially focused finance role where you’ll play a key part in supporting the Finance Director across a range of initiatives and projects. You’ll assist with end to end management reporting, month-end processes, and business insight, while providing guidance and support to the transactional finance team. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist with management accounting and month-end close activities 

• Support strategic finance projects and business improvement initiatives 

• Provide commercial insight and challenge key financial information 

• Partner closely with the Finance Director to deliver accurate, timely reporting 

• Offer informal support and guidance to the transactional finance team 

What You’ll Bring 

• A professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) 

• Experience within management accounting and commercial finance roles 

• Strong analytical and communication skills, able to challenge and add value 

• A proactive, hands-on approach and confidence working in a fast-paced, evolving business 

• Ability to work collaboratively and support wider finance team members 

Base Salary

• £55,000–£65,000
