Based in Glasgow, this is a permanent, full-time role with a hybrid working model. 

The Opportunity 

As Head of Finance, you will lead the finance team in managing day-to-day operations and supporting the organisation’s senior leadership in delivering financial strategy. You’ll oversee forecasting models, reporting, compliance, and process improvement while providing meaningful financial insights to group companies. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll play a key role in shaping strategy, leading transformational change, and supporting integration of new business activities. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead the operational finance function, ensuring robust controls and compliance with legislation and group policies. 

  • Develop recharge models, oversee cost centre management, and identify opportunities for revenue growth. 

  • Provide commercial and financial insight to support strategic decision-making. 

  • Deliver accurate, timely reporting and performance dashboards to senior stakeholders. 

  • Drive process improvements, risk mitigation, and governance maturity. 

  • Build and develop a high-performing finance team, ensuring capability, succession planning, and continuous improvement. 

  • Act as key contact for external audits and ensure statutory and regulatory deadlines are met. 

About You 

  • Professional accounting qualification and significant post-qualification experience in industry. 

  • Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to influence senior stakeholders. 

  • Effective leadership skills, with experience of managing and developing teams. 

  • Sound technical knowledge of accounting standards, VAT, and regulatory frameworks. 

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex financial information clearly. 

  • Resilient, proactive, and adaptable, with a track record of driving change and process improvement.
