Group Reporting Accountant - Edinburgh

Ref: 2736 Date Posted: Wednesday 24 Jun 2026

Are you a qualified accountant looking for a role that offers exposure to group reporting, statutory accounts, audit, tax, systems improvement, and international business partnering?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established international organisation where you’ll play a central role within the Group Finance function, supporting operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions. Based in Scotland, this position offers the chance to work closely with senior finance leadership while developing deep expertise in group financial reporting and consolidation processes.

The Opportunity

Wilkinson & Associates is delighted to be partnering with a well-established international business in the search for a Group Reporting Accountant to support the delivery of high-quality group reporting and financial control activities. Reporting into senior finance leadership, you’ll be instrumental in producing monthly group consolidations, supporting statutory reporting and audits, managing group overhead reporting, and driving continuous improvement across finance systems and processes.

This role offers significant exposure to a multi-entity, multi-currency environment and would suit an ambitious finance professional keen to broaden their technical accounting experience while building strong stakeholder relationships across a global business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the monthly group consolidation, drawing results together from across the entities into a single, accurate group position in Oracle.
  • Produce group overhead reporting end to end, covering actuals, forecasts and budgets, and turn the numbers into clear, usable insight for budget holders.
  • Prepare the annual group statutory accounts, working closely alongside the Group Financial Controller.
  • Act as a central point of contact for the year-end group audit, coordinating with internal finance colleagues and external auditors to keep the process on track.
  • Gather and consolidate the information required for the UK tax return, supporting the group’s external tax advisor through to completion.
  • Review how group finance operates, pinpoint where it can be sharper, and help design and roll out improved ways of working across the teams.
  • Be the trusted go-to for subsidiary finance teams, offering guidance on Oracle and wider finance processes, with occasional UK and international travel to support the business units.
  • Provide support to group treasury as required, including payments and general ledger postings.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent).
  • Experience working with large ERP or accounting systems, ideally Oracle.
  • Previous experience within industry (desirable).
  • Understanding of, or willingness to learn, multi-currency group consolidations.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and internationally as business needs require.

Package & Benefits

  • Up to £60,000 per annum plus benefits.
  • Opportunity to gain exposure to group-level reporting and international operations.
  • Career development opportunities within a large and diverse finance function.
  • Broad exposure across statutory reporting, audit, tax, treasury, and systems projects.
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment.
  • Ongoing professional development and learning opportunities.

Why Apply?

  • Join a successful international organisation with a complex and varied finance environment.
  • Gain valuable exposure to senior stakeholders and group-level decision-making.
  • Develop specialist expertise in consolidations, statutory reporting, and financial systems.
  • Play a key role in driving process improvements and enhancing finance operations.
  • Excellent platform for long-term career progression within a broader finance community.
