Group FP&A Analyst - 9 month FTC - Edinburgh

W&A is pleased to be partnering with a FS business in central Edinburgh to appoint a Group FP&A Analyst on a 9-month fixed-term contract, offering hybrid working pattern. This role is ideally suited to a finance professional with exceptional Excel and data analysis skills, who thrives on managing complex financial models and delivering clear, insightful reporting to senior stakeholders.

The Opportunity

You’ll play a pivotal role in forecasting and financial modelling across the Group. This is a hands-on, data-driven role where you’ll own the consolidation of complex data sets, enhance Excel-based forecast models, and produce high-quality analysis that supports strategic decision-making at Group level.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating the Group forecasting process and managing update cycles
• Consolidating regional data into clear, insightful reports for C-suite and senior stakeholders
• Building, maintaining and enhancing advanced Excel forecast models
• Preparing ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support decision-making
• Analysing monthly ledger data to identify variances and provide data-led insights
• Supporting strategic projects

What You’ll Bring

• Excellent Excel skills — essential: proven experience with advanced modelling, data manipulation and complex formulae
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex data sets
• Exposure to BI and planning tools advantageous
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in engaging senior stakeholders
• Strong organisational ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Commercial outlook and proactive mindset

Package & Benefits

• Salary: £60,000–£80,000 depending on experience
• 9-month fixed-term contract
• Hybrid working, Edinburgh base
