W&A are delighted to be working exclusively with a long-standing client based just outside Dunfermline who are currently looking to appoint a Group Financial Accountant.

The role will work closely with both the Group Financial Controller and Finance Director supporting the timely and accurate preparation of group financial information and submissions to the parent company.

This role supports a range of group accounting and compliance activities, including consolidation, reporting, internal controls, corporation tax and transfer pricing, ensuring compliance with group and statutory requirements as well as acting as a Business Partner to a number of key stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual financial submissions to the parent company, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Prepares supporting analysis for submissions to the parent company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with group policies and accounting standards.
  • Prepares group finance lease revenue calculations.
  • Assists with group consolidation entries and maintains the integrity of the consolidation system
  • Manages group cashflow forecasting, providing regular updates to the Group Financial Controller.
  • Supports the group budget process, including coordination with local entities and preparation of reporting packs.
  • Acts as Finance Business Partner for the HR, Legal, Finance and Admin departments, providing financial insight and support.
  • Prepares and maintains group transfer pricing documentation, including quarterly transfer pricing adjustments and benchmarking studies.
  • Manages various aspect of corporation tax, including reporting to the parent company and acting as a key interface with external tax advisors.
  • Manages capital expenditure review, reporting and monitoring.

 

Background/Experience

  • Professional Qualification in Accountancy: ACCA or CA (+1 years PQE).
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in preparation of statutory accounts preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management skills, with a proven ability to deliver accurate reports to tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
