W&A is working with a fast-growing UK-based financial services firm to appoint a newly or recently qualified accountant into an exciting FP&A Analyst role.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone making their first or second move post-qualification who’s looking to broaden their commercial exposure, build high-impact analysis skills, and develop their career in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Insights, this role will see you take an active part in shaping the business’s understanding of performance and future planning through robust financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Your responsibilities will include:
Monthly management reporting, including variance analysis.
Supporting the delivery of annual budgets and reforecasts.
Producing insightful scenario and sensitivity analysis to support business decisions.
Building and maintaining financial models to forecast performance.
Contributing to long-term strategic planning and performance tracking.
Collaborating with teams across the business on projects and ad hoc analysis.
This role would suit a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with up to 2 years’ post-qualified experience, or someone newly qualified in a practice or industry setting, looking to move into a commercially focused finance role.
You’ll bring:
A strong analytical mindset, with the confidence to interrogate numbers and challenge assumptions.
Experience preparing or interpreting management information, budgets, or forecasts.
The ability to communicate financial insights clearly and effectively to non-finance colleagues.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
A collaborative approach and genuine curiosity about how the business works.
Technical skills:
Advanced Excel skills are essential, particularly with financial models.
Exposure to tools like Power BI, SQL, or Alteryx would be advantageous but not essential.
