W&A is partnering with a global financial services organisation based in Edinburgh. They have an opportunity for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their finance function.
Ther role will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of group reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
The successful candidate should be a qualified accountant with strong knowledge of reporting requirements.

Role Profile:
Working with financial information providers, business units and third parties to assist with monthly and quarterly preparation of consolidated IFRS reporting
Assist with the preparation of annual statutory accounts and with the preparation of other group and external returns e.g. ONS and FCA etc
Ensure that all preparation is completed in a timely and accurate manner
Review and analyse business unit results and third-party supplier’s information, understanding the data and where necessary challenging, to help mitigate financial risk
Complete workload to an auditable standard and follow SOX processes
Follow principals of continuous improvement and assist in ad hoc projects and reporting developments as necessary
About You:
Qualified accountant
Strong expertise in monthly and quarterly preparation of consolidation reporting
Exposure and knowledge of the preparation of annual statutory accounts
Strong proven track record of working in a similar role within a financial services or professional firm environment
Well organised you will be comfortable working in a fast changing environment
Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels you should be able to build relationships quickly
