Financial Reporting Accountant - 12 Month FTC - Edinburgh

W&A is working with a reputable investment manager in Edinburgh to help source a Financial Reporting Accountant for a 12 month fixed term contract.

This role will operate on a hybrid basis with 2 days typically in the office per week.   

Our client’s financial reporting team are responsible for the preparation and analysis of group reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. This role will focus on implementing a number of process efficiencies for month end too.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with financial information providers, business units and third parties, assisting with quarterly preparation of consolidated IFRS and regulatory reporting.
• Assisting with the preparation of annual statutory accounts and with the preparation of other group and external regulatory submissions e.g. FCA returns and ICARA.
• Facilitating continuous improvement across the financial reporting team, driving reporting developments as necessary.
• Ensure that all preparation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Complete workload to an auditable standard and follow SOX processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong expertise in monthly and quarterly preparation of consolidation reporting.
• Exposure and knowledge of the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
• Qualified accountant such as CA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Strong proven track record of working in a similar role within a financial services or professional firm environment.
• Well organised you will be comfortable working in a fast-changing environment.
• Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels you should be able to build relationships quickly.
