PROFESSIONAL SERVICES RECRUITMENT - The best appointment you'll make

Financial Controller - Edinburgh

FMCG - Qualified Accountancy & Finance
Ref: 2640 Date Posted: Monday 08 Dec 2025

Are you an ambitious finance professional ready to take ownership of a high-impact role within a growing premium drinks business? This permanent position, based in Edinburgh with hybrid working available, offers the chance to play a pivotal part in shaping the financial future of a scaling company operating in the drinks industry.

The Opportunity

As Financial Controller, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, overseeing all financial operations while providing strategic insight to support ongoing expansion. This is a hands-on and commercially focused role where you’ll enhance financial processes, strengthen controls, and deliver the analysis needed to drive growth in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You’ll help shape the finance function as the business enters its next stage of evolution.

A Great Move for an ‘Up-and-Coming’ Leader

This role is particularly well suited to an ambitious “up and comer” – someone stepping into their first Financial Controller position or moving from a strong Finance Manager role into a broader leadership remit. There is no expectation that you arrive as the finished article or a fully formed strategic leader from day one. Instead, the business is looking for someone who is hungry to learn, willing to take initiative and excited by the opportunity to grow with a company that is looking to make waves in its sector. If you see yourself as capable, driven and ready to take on a role where you can have real impact – rather than simply maintaining the status quo – this will be an excellent platform for your development.
