Financial Accountant - Edinburgh

W&A is working with a multinational manufacturing business based in Edinburgh to help source a Financial Accountant.

This role will join their growing finance team and is newly created, due to the rapid growth in existing and new regions. The role touches upon several aspects of the group accounting process, as such there is scope for the jobholder to have notable impact across several areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly close financial reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions
• Own CAPEX accounting for new manufacturing site.
• Collaborate with cost accounting to develop and implement future systems and processes to support manufacturing.
• Business partner with senior management to assist in making future business decisions.
• Lead internal and external audits for both group and local statutory purposes.
• Drive the implementation and maintenance of systems and policies and procedures, to ensure adherence to company guidelines and proper internal controls for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and other relevant regulations.
• Assist in training and development of junior members of staff.
• Support and engage in special projects and or accounting related research as needed.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Accountant with post-qualified experience in a similar role.
• Experience with working with different currencies and jurisdictions.
• Experience of US GAAP and/or IFRS reporting.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Oracle or other major ERP system experience.
