W&A are supporting our client as they seek to hire a Finance Manager to play a crucial role in the Edinburgh based business.
Our client is looking for a recently qualified accountant with energy and enthusiasm to support the continued growth of the company. You will deliver accurate financial information, compliance with regulatory requirements, and drive efficient financial operations.
The role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the company’s success by implementing and enforcing appropriate processes and controls to support value-enhancing growth.
Role Profile:
Own the month-end process, ensuring an efficient and accurate close
Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial information including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT submissions; oversight of annual corporation tax return
Ownership of the fixed asset register and monthly adjustments
Work with external auditor and support the annual audit and preparation of financial statements
Payment planning and management in line with supplier terms and cashflow forecast
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, combining robust control with continuous improvement to improve efficiency
About You:
Qualified accountant with previous experience in a similar role. Candidates seeking to make their first move post-qualifying from practice are invited to apply.
Strong excel and data manipulation skills; experience of using NetSuite and Smartview would be advantageous
Experience of working in fast-paced environments / high growth small to medium scaled company experience would be advantageous
