Do you thrive in a fast-paced and high-performing environment?

Our Glasgow city centre client operates a portfolio of businesses in the UK, supported by central finance and operational capability.

The group operates in a highly regulated environment, placing strong emphasis on governance, data integrity and responsible financial decision-making. Commercial growth and operational sustainability are driven through disciplined analysis, robust insight and informed decision-making.

The Finance Business Partner role exists to improve the quality and pace of commercial and operational decisions across the business.

The role partners senior leaders across growth, operations and strategic initiatives, providing insight, challenge and clarity on the financial and economic implications of decisions. The focus is on understanding value creation, identifying risks and trade-offs early, and ensuring resources are deployed where they generate sustainable returns.

This is a forward-looking, insight-led role that sits close to decision-makers.

What you’ll focus on:

  • Conversion, retention and attrition dynamics

  • Cost-to-serve, productivity and capacity planning

  • Business cases, investment decisions and prioritisation

  • Scenario analysis, sensitivity and downside risk

  • Performance tracking versus plan and assumptions

Day-to-day:

  • Act as a trusted finance partner to senior commercial, operational and project leadership

  • Analyse financial and operational data to identify performance drivers, constraints and opportunities

  • Support decisions on pricing, investment, resourcing, capacity and process design

  • Build, maintain and evolve analytical models and reporting that improve visibility of economics and trade-offs

  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insight for senior decision-makers

  • Support planning, forecasting and performance review processes in relevant areas

  • Challenge assumptions constructively and highlight risks early

  • Track outcomes against expectations and recommend course correction where required

What you’ll have and bring:

  • A professionally trained and qualified accountant.

  • Prior experience of succeeding in a similar role

  • Thrive in face-to-face relationship building

  • Demonstrable track record of achievement

  • Strong analytical capability with confidence building and evolving models

  • Commercially curious, pragmatic and outcomes-focused

  • Comfortable challenging constructively and influencing senior stakeholders

  • Able to balance pace and rigour in a regulated environment

  • Clear communicator who can translate complexity into insight
