The Finance Business Partner role exists to improve the quality and pace of commercial and operational decisions across the business.
The role partners senior leaders across growth, operations and strategic initiatives, providing insight, challenge and clarity on the financial and economic implications of decisions. The focus is on understanding value creation, identifying risks and trade-offs early, and ensuring resources are deployed where they generate sustainable returns.
This is a forward-looking, insight-led role that sits close to decision-makers.
What you’ll focus on:
Unit economics, profitability and value drivers
Conversion, retention and attrition dynamics
Cost-to-serve, productivity and capacity planning
Business cases, investment decisions and prioritisation
Scenario analysis, sensitivity and downside risk
Performance tracking versus plan and assumptions
Day-to-day:
Act as a trusted finance partner to senior commercial, operational and project leadership
Analyse financial and operational data to identify performance drivers, constraints and opportunities
Support decisions on pricing, investment, resourcing, capacity and process design
Build, maintain and evolve analytical models and reporting that improve visibility of economics and trade-offs
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insight for senior decision-makers
Support planning, forecasting and performance review processes in relevant areas
Challenge assumptions constructively and highlight risks early
Track outcomes against expectations and recommend course correction where required
What you’ll have and bring:
A professionally trained and qualified accountant.
Prior experience of succeeding in a similar role
Thrive in face-to-face relationship building
Demonstrable track record of achievement
Strong analytical capability with confidence building and evolving models
Commercially curious, pragmatic and outcomes-focused
Comfortable challenging constructively and influencing senior stakeholders
Able to balance pace and rigour in a regulated environment
Clear communicator who can translate complexity into insight
