Finance Assistant – Central Glasgow

About Our Client:

Our city centre client is a leading UK firm looking to add to their finance team and recruit a Permanent Finance Assistant.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of this role is to efficiently process sales ledger transactions that are critical to the finance function.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Process sales ledger transactions promptly and ensure monthly reconciliations
  • Allocate daily cash receipts accurately
  • Oversee the monthly client statement process
  • Prepare weekly sales reports and performance summaries
  • Assist management team with ad-hoc reports.
  • Provide support to the wider finance team as needed
  • Processing invoices
  • Matching cash receipts to invoices
  • Conducting ledger reconciliations
  • Opening and closing job requests
  • Responding to ad-hoc queries and requests

Candidate Profile Sought:

  • Experience in processing financial transactions
  • Familiarity with credit control functions
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues at various levels
  • Strong numeracy skills and proficiency in Excel
  • Resilient, energetic and enthusiastic and professional
  • Quick learner with self-starter qualities, capable of working autonomously or within a team
