Credit Controller - French or Dutch Speaking - Central Scotland

W&A is supporting an internationally focused organisation to recruit a Credit Controller with French or Dutch language skills. Based in Glasgow, this hybrid role offers two days in the office and three days working from home.

The Opportunity

This role will see you manage a high-volume portfolio of customer accounts, take ownership of cash collection activity and work closely with internal teams to resolve queries and improve the customer experience.

It is well suited to an experienced Credit Controller who combines strong communication skills with sound judgement, attention to detail and confidence working across different stakeholder groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and ensure invoices are paid promptly.
• Use telephone, email and other communication channels to support effective collections activity.
• Build productive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and secure payment.
• Deliver agreed aged debt and cash collection targets.
• Produce monthly customer statements and maintain accurate account records.
• Work collaboratively with Sales Ledger, Billing, operational teams and other stakeholders to resolve disputes and improve processes.
• Review account data, identify risks and escalate cases to legal or debt recovery partners where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal finance processes.
• Support ledger reviews and contribute to ad hoc credit control initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Fluency in French and/or Dutch.
• Previous experience managing a high-volume credit control ledger.
• Good knowledge of Order-to-Cash processes and an understanding of credit risk principles.
• Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to analyse account information, make informed decisions and resolve problems effectively.
• A collaborative, customer-focused mindset.
