Capital Forecasting & Reporting Contractor - Banking - Glasgow / Western central belt

£500-600 per day 

Our client is currently working on a project to stand up their capital & loss forecasting for input into the Bank of England ACS. This involves the set-up of Structured data requests (STDF) for Actuals and Projection templates. There is a need to ensure consistent governance approach across the group.  

As part of this they have an interim role for 3 months, working remotely from home:

Forecasting & Reporting Support Contractor

Work specification:

- Running of Structure Template Data Framework (STDF) Actual results on a quarterly basis for the results for consolidation into group reporting.

- To provide management of the bank with a granular understanding and validation of the underlying results in advance of the STDF submissions. Facilitate stakeholder review and approval of submissions.

 - Develop the Structure Template Data Framework (STDF) Projection templates for reporting from the new ST framework.

- Assist in the ICAAP 2020 process, including running of the models. Assist in validation of the underlying forecast output and facilitate stakeholder review of stress results.

- Support the group in business planning and meeting its regulatory requirements with particular respect to producing their annual ICAAP/ACS stress testing exercise.

 

Skills /qualification required:

- Education background in a quantitative discipline with an emphasis on mathematical / analytical techniques.

- Experience in reporting background, preferably reporting involving A-IRB rating systems, impairment and/or IFRS 9.

- Practical understanding of predictive models, AIRB and IFRS9 risk metrics.

 - Experience in developing forecasting methodologies, hands-on experience and solid skills of credit risk modelling, working in a data-driven or quantitative role within financial services.

- Experience processing/mining/manipulation large datasets and understanding of risk data infrastructure/systems.

- Strong statistical, analytical and programming skills (SAS, SQL, R)

- Experience in submitting models for model risk committee approval and fronting model validation unit 

- Able to work both as part of a team and independently, demonstrated analytical, problem solving skills and project management skills.

- Able to undertake complex analytical tasks with limited support and guidance

 - Able to communicate complex models to senior audience. 

- Excellent communication, written, presentation and relational skills

- ACS experience is desirable but not essential
