Capital & Liquidity Senior Analyst FTC - Edinburgh

W&A is working with a UK financial services business to appoint an experienced Capital & Liquidity Senior Analyst for a six-month FTC (with potential for project extension) in either the Edinburgh or Glasgow office.

This hybrid role will play a key part in strengthening capital and liquidity oversight and supporting key regulatory deliverables, with scope for extension as projects evolve.

The Opportunity

This role sits within a capital and liquidity centre of excellence, supporting monitoring, forecasting and reporting across a group operating under multiple UK regulatory regimes. You’ll play a key role in ensuring capital and liquidity adequacy, contributing to strategic risk assessments and helping the business remain financially resilient as it delivers against its objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end capital and liquidity stress testing process, including scenario design, analysis, governance and delivery of results.
  • Prepare capital and liquidity forecasts to support business planning, risk identification and assessment across the group.
  • Develop and enhance MI, dashboards and reporting packs for senior management and governance forums.
  • Support the delivery of key regulatory assessments including ICARA, ORSA and wind-down planning, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of capital and liquidity frameworks, policies, standards and documentation.
  • Interpret regulatory requirements and ensure compliance relating to capital and liquidity adequacy.
  • Engage proactively with stakeholders across finance, risk and the wider business.
  • Promote a strong risk culture that supports accountability and positive customer outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline, or an equivalent professional qualification (e.g. AMCT, CFA or accountancy qualification).
  • Around 4+ years’ experience within financial services, ideally in a treasury, capital or liquidity-focused role.
  • Experience of financial modelling, cash flow analysis and/or stress testing.
  • A strong understanding of regulatory expectations and industry best practice.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and regulatory data.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders.
