W&A is supporting a major UK financial services firm to source an Audit Analyst within their Insurance, Pensions & Investments (IP&I) function. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful audits that help protect customers during pivotal life events. 

The Opportunity 

As an Audit Analyst, you’ll be part of a dynamic audit function embedded within the business, supporting high-quality audit delivery across insurance, pensions, and investment activities. Working closely with experienced auditors and stakeholders, you’ll contribute to meaningful audit insights and control testing that influence key business decisions. 

This role would be well suited to recently qualified accountants with financial services external audit experience. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist with planning and delivering audit work, focusing on key risks and controls 

  • Evaluate the design and operation of controls across IP&I business areas 

  • Identify areas for improvement and provide insightful commentary to stakeholders 

  • Build an understanding of the insurance and investment industry to enhance audit relevance 

  • Develop strong stakeholder relationships across the business 

  • Coach junior team members and support their growth 

  • Role model organisational values and promote a positive, collaborative team culture 

About You 

  • 2 – 3 years' experience in external or internal audit / risk assurance 

  • Knowledge or experience in the financial services sector 

  • Strong communication and time management skills 

  • Ability to prioritise work and deliver to deadlines 

  • Interest in strategic alignment of audit outcomes 

  • Confidence in working with data to drive insights 

  • Growth mindset and interest in personal and professional development 

Key Benefits 

  • Salary of £48,000–£58,000
