Accounts Payable Clerk - Edinburgh

W&A are delighted to be partnering with an established and expanding organisation operating within the infrastructure and connectivity space to recruit an Accounts Payable Assistant to join its finance team.

Based in Edinburgh, this role sits at the heart of day-to-day Accounts Payable operations, supporting accurate, timely supplier payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices from receipt through to payment, ensuring compliance with purchase-to-pay procedures  
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies  
• Validate VAT treatment on invoices and support quarterly VAT return preparation  
• Maintain supplier master data and act as a first point of contact for supplier queries  
• Execute payment runs and process bank transactions accurately  
• Support employee expense processing and reimbursements via the expense management platform  
• Assist with month-end close activities, including ledger reconciliations  
• Contribute to process improvements and support system upgrades  

What You’ll Bring

• Previous experience in an accounts payable or finance administration role  
• A proactive, positive attitude with a natural curiosity and desire to improve processes  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in data entry and reconciliations  
• Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and levels  
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
