Wilkinson & Associates are currently partnering with our client to assist their recruitment for an Indirect Tax Manager
This role is well suited to applicants keen to make their first or second move since qualifying as an accountant and / or tax specialist. Likewise it will suit applicants with detailed knowledge and experience of indirect tax compliance matters, who are able to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, who have the ability to manage a team and have good project management skills.
Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, this is a key role within the Group Tax function ensuring the team meets their indirect tax compliance obligations across Europe.
Summary of the responsibilities the jobholder will have:
*Managing the delivery of VAT compliance, returns and reporting across Europe
*Managing a team small team and reviewing regional indirect tax returns
*Reviewing Intrastat and EC Sales lists
*Assisting and improving Tax Working Capital Forecasts
*Analysis of the tax implications of accounting and legislative changes
*Engagement with tax authorities on tax queries and key tax issues
*Driving initiatives that improve the accuracy and efficiency of tax compliance and reporting processes and outputs. Looking for opportunities for continuous improvement by increasing automation
*Providing support on indirect tax advisory issues
To be considered for the role you must be a qualified accountant or tax professional (CTA / ATT / ITP). Applicants that have trained in practice and industry will be considered. You must be able to demonstrate excellent awareness of VAT / Indirect Tax issues and have the confidence and ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
This role will demand the jobholder is comfortable juggling multiple, conflicting priorities and that they have the relationship management skills to reach a mutually agreeable outcome.
