Colin joined W&A in 2010 with a view to establishing the Business Change Division following a successful career with one of the world’s largest recruitment firms and latterly helping build a successful local firm over the first 10 years of his recruitment career.

 

The idea for the Division was initially borne out of numerous conversations between Colin and Ian Wilkinson (many of which initially took place in various West End hostelries).

 

During those early discussions it became clear that many of W&A’s existing CFO clients were the sponsors of numerous Strategic and Regulatory Change Programmes which required specialist resource to supplement their existing Finance capability. These requirements ranged from Business/Data Analysts to Project & Programme Managers. Despite requests for help from those clients, Ian was quite rightly keen to preserve the W&A brand which had established itself as the No.1  specialist recruitment firm specialising solely in Qualified Accountants in Scotland.

 

However, Colin believed there was a significant opportunity to not only preserve the W&A brand but in fact increase it’s reach by building a complimentary supply chain capability within the Business Change discipline. This fitted perfectly with Colin’s own experience having spent those first 10 years operating within both Finance and IT/Change markets.

 

9 years later and we can now look back with great pride as the Business Change Division is fully established as a core part of the Wilkinson & Associates offering. Due to the nature of Business Change as a discipline, much of Colin’s work is in the Interim market and he has a proven track record of providing interim solutions to a range of clients, both large and small, to support the successful delivery of key projects across the Regulatory, Operational, Systems and Strategic spectrums. The vast majority of Colin’s clients are repeat customers and he prides himself on his relationships with contractors, which is why a large percentage of contractors working with Colin are repeat customers. In addition to the interim market, Colin also has a long track record of providing senior Business Change professionals on a permanent basis to allow organisations to strengthen their in-house Change capability.
