Systems Project Accountant Fixed Term Contract - 15 months - Edinburgh

Purpose of Role

Our client is hiring a Finance Systems Accountant with experience of enterprise performance management (EPM) systems to assist with a critical Finance project. You will sit within the Financial Reporting team, liaising closely with members of the team and other project team members including the overall Project Manager.

Your main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting any new processes and being an integral part of the set up and installation of our new enterprise performance management system and related downstream reporting tools, including performing some user acceptance testing.

Within the Financial Reporting team there will be a further focus on developing capabilities in forecasting and the financial consolidation process. As the project develops there may be scope to assist with other project workstreams outside of the Financial Reporting team as the need arises.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating the Financial Reporting team's processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement and developing and implementing solutions in the new system
• Performing requirements analysis
• Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
• Effectively communicating insights and progress to the project working group and steering committee as required
• Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of tasks
• Documenting any new processes and ensuring the team is passed all relevant knowledge on project completion

• A strong background in implementing Finance systems with experience of enterprise performance management and downstream financial reporting processes and tools.
