Senior Auditor, Functions - Edinburgh

Wilkinson & Associates is proud to be partnering with a high profile global group headquartered in Edinburgh. They currently are seeking to hire a Senior Auditor to join their internal audit team.

This position is ideally pitched at and therefore well suited to applicants making their first or second move post qualification. Applicants from external audit are encouraged to apply.

The role will be responsible for helping ensure the company meets its regulatory, reputational and commercial requirements. This role will be based in our clients diverse Internal Audit Function which uses a dynamic and risk-based approach, giving fantastic exposure to senior stakeholders on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering audit work for the portfolio and inputting into audit deliverables
• Supporting Audit Managers to deliver all aspects of the Audit Plan and audit outputs in line with methodology
• Developing an understanding of Group Strategy and Business Objectives to focus work on the highest risks
• Senior Auditors may own less complex audit universe entities to research and risk assess

Required Skills & Attributes:

• Educated to degree level with a relevant professional qualification or experience (e.g. accounting, audit, risk)
• Experience of undertaking audits/controls assurance reviews within a financial services, external consultancy and / or investment management context
• Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships
• Demonstrable ability to adapt and deliver in a fast-moving commercial environment
