Senior Audit Manager - Edinburgh

Wilkinson & Associates is partnering with a retail bank headquartered in Edinburgh, seeking to hire a Senior Audit Manager. This role can be based across the UK and offers both flexible and hybrid working.

The role is responsible for supporting the Head of Audit to deliver the audit plan for all business functions. The successful candidate will focus on areas such as financial crime and credit risk along with others too.

Additionally, you will also lead on the delivery of a portfolio of large and complex internal audits, harnessing a deep understanding of business strategy, controls, and risks to provide reliable and independent assurance on the effectiveness of the control framework.

• Take an interest in and support our Audit Partners to develop and embed audit methodology
• Provide value and insight to your stakeholders and Head of Audit in the development of the audit plan
• Develop your career and keep abreast of regulatory and industry changes
• Lead by example and champion the banks audit methodology

Required Skills & Attributes:

• Strong planning and organisational skills with a proven track record in leading and delivering multiple high-quality audits
• Experience of working in a fast-moving environment with complex risks and controls
• Experience of leading, motivating and coaching others to attain high standards
• Excellent communicator who projects confidence and can build influential relationships with stakeholders
• Strong and effective writing skills with experience of delivering good quality audit documentation
• A broad understanding of relevant laws, regulations with an ability to apply this to your audit work
