Regulatory Reporting Manager - Edinburgh

Wilkinson & Associates is working with a well-known retail bank in Edinburgh to help source a Regulatory Reporting Manager.

The role will be responsible for leading the delivery of accurate regulatory reporting to PRA, BoE and FCA within a robust control environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing stakeholder relationships across both finance and non-finance departmental teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for Bank of England and PRA regarding BoE returns
  • Liaising with other members of the team to keep up to date with regulatory reporting changes and ensure these are reflected in the reporting within implementation deadlines set by the regulator
  • Supporting the team to ensure returns are delivered in a timely manner, performing reviews to ensure these are accurate, whilst also creating, embedding and maintaining a strong robust control framework
  • Assisting in reviewing the interpretations embedded within processes and documented in the deep dive reviews against regulator guidelines, helping to advise on solutions where gaps are identified
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that data required to complete returns is produced with strong controls embedded
  • Managing stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and influencing stakeholders to meet changing requirements, delivery within tight timelines whilst also maintaining strong controls and data quality
  • Providing Senior Management with an overview of returns, explaining key movements / assumptions

Required Skills & Attributes:

  • Part or fully qualified accountant. Applicants with no formal qualification that can demonstrate relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • Knowledge of IFRS, PRA rulebook, BoE guidance, Capital Requirements Regulation and delegated acts would be highly advantageous
  • Proficient communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departmental teams / colleagues out with Financial Control
