Newly Qualified Accountant - Edinburgh

Wilkinson & Associates are working with a growing, acquisitive market leader as they seek to add a new hire to their Finance team. The business operates across Europe and as a result the jobholder will get exposure to a variety of projects and jurisdictional, legislative and regulatory accounting topics.

This role is ideally suited to newly qualified accountants seeking a varied role and that are looking to make their first move post qualifying. If you have trained in audit and / or accounts preparation and would like to further develop your management accounting, analysis and financial reporting skills – this could be the role for you!

Summary of role profile:

• Preparation of annual FRS102 and IFRS statutory accounts, including group consolidation
• Periodic updates of project financial models
• Preparation of annual IFRS statutory accounts, including group consolidation
• Coordinating the annual audit with the external auditors.
• Liaising with tax advisors on corporation tax compliance and VAT.
• Preparing corporation tax computations for review by external advisors.
• Preparation of technical accounting papers on key accounting issues
• Attending shareholders meeting acting as project or group accountant where required.
• Ensuring that all costs and income generated are in accordance with the terms of the individual agreements.

To be considered for the role you must be a recently qualified accountant. Applicants having trained in practice or industry will be considered. You should have good working knowledge of FRS102 / IFRS. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a proactive, collegiate and confident approach and be armed with excellent communication skills.
