Position Overview

We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to lead a new project team focussing on researching, analysing and capturing global mergers and acquisition data. Initially, the position will support the establishment and development of the data analyst team while testing our proprietary system for capturing global M&A data. This will be a new product for MarktoMarket and you will have a big impact on shaping it. As the project progresses, the role is expected to grow into the management of the international data team day to day in the researching, analysing and capturing of large quantities of data.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to be part of one of the UK’s most exciting start-ups at a key stage in its growth. The role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside and learn from a variety of people, including key stakeholders, and working directly with the Head of Information.

This position would suit an individual with a background or a keen interest in corporate finance, private equity, investment or an individual looking for a change from a professional accounting career.

Role responsibilities

• Help to establish and develop a new project team.
• Responsibility for the accuracy and quality of data entry and analysis from your team.
• Manage the ongoing resource planning and recruitment of your team.
• Responsibility of preparing and formalising training for your team promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Manage own and team’s workload against demand, KPI’s and key milestones, requesting support when required, providing progress updates and flagging any possible deadline risks in advance with internal stakeholders.
• Aid the research and evaluation of global M&A data sets and present findings to stakeholders.
• Support with planning and integration of new data sets in liaison with internal stakeholders

• Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to accuracy and detail

Qualifications

• Experience and understanding of financial statements and accounting
• Qualified/part qualified accountant or qualified through experience (desirable not essential)
• Experience in corporate finance/lead advisory/M&A valuations (desirable)
• Previous experience of managing a team (desirable)
