Management Accountant - West Lothian

Wilkinson & Associates is working with a global retail brand headquartered in Livingston. They have an excellent opportunity for a Management Accountant to join their finance department.

The purpose of this role is to create greater month end and accounting support for the business with responsibility for key operational finance tasks. The role will be pivotal in improving and maintaining financial controls for the Finance Function and will support the transition to a new Finance system (SAP).

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and reviewing the Fixed Asset register
• Processing and control of pre-payments and accruals
• Monthly stock reporting and provisions
• Reviewing and reporting on our month-end result for US subsidiary
• Producing balance sheet reconciliations for both entities 
• Tracking contractual and recurring spend and making accruals
• Reconciliation of payroll ledgers
• Producing and submitting various statutory submissions
• Assisting the Finance Manager with the statutory audit process
• Tracking the balance sheet KPIs.

Required Skills & Attributes:

• Qualified accountant or finalist that is nearing completion of a professional accounting qualification
• Proven experience of working within a similar role and/or experience working in an audit environment
• Strong Microsoft Office software knowledge - Excel, Word and PowerPoint, experience of Exchequer or SAP would be an advantage
• Organised and able to multitask to meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills
• Professional and self-motivated, able to use own initiative to think things through.
