Wilkinson & Associates is working with a large investment organisation based in Edinburgh. They have an excellent opportunity for an International Tax Manager to join their Finance department.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the international tax affairs of the business and work in close partnership with the business to ensure all international tax advisory matters are addressed effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the provision of a comprehensive international tax advisory service to the business
  • Supporting the provision of tax advice to the business on legal and operating structure reorganisations, and any alterations to the finance or capital structures of group entities
  • Supporting the provision of transfer pricing advice and support, including the effective implementation of, and reporting under, transfer pricing policy across the international group
  • Preparation of international tax risk guidance, including residence and permanent establishment
  • Maintaining and communicating knowledge of past, present and potential changes to international tax and regulatory rules, and considering potential impacts on the business
  • The effective management of external advisors
  • Contributing to an effective risk and controls framework for international taxes for the business
  • Develop a good understanding of how the business operates and work with a wide range of other business areas across a range of territories to ensure that international tax affairs are effectively managed across the organisation.

Required Skills & Attributes:

  • Qualified accountant / CTA at experienced manager level
  • Strong corporate tax background with substantial exposure to international tax issues preferred
  • Experience in financial services or dealing with large corporate groups an advantage
  • Strong preference for action and flexibility
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail & organisational skills
  • Background in asset management or financial services
