Group Financial Accountant - Fife

Wilkinson & Associates is partnering with a manufacturing company based in Dunfermline to help source a Group Financial Accountant. The company continues to experience YOY growth. 

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller this role will support in the preparation of Group information and submissions to parent company. In addition, the job holder will have some entity responsibilities to enhance commercial understanding.   

The role offers both the macro and micro view and is a combination of planning, reporting and analysis. As such, an excellent first move for those considering a move out of audit/practice.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Review of revenue to KPI and placement reporting 

  • Cost of goods sold review and margin analysis including review of service cost of goods sold 

  • Responsibility of updating the consolidation system and group consolidating entries 

  • Responsibility for the margin analysis and preparing the supporting management reports 

  • Responsibility for preparing the reports for submission to parent company 

  • Assist in the management of group budget process and group reporting 

  • Assist in the coordination of the Group Audit process 

  • Responsibility for preparing Group quarterly transfer price adjustment documents. 

  • Assist in the coordination and management of internal audit and J-Sox controls. 

  • Review & authorisation of supplier payments 

  • Review & analytics of group entities and liaising with local finance teams 

  • Maintains and updates group policies and procedures 

  • Other general accounting duties 

Required Skills & Abilities: 

  • Professional qualification in accountancy with some post-qualified experience.  

  • Previous experience of a group finance role, or having audited group/consolidation processes 

  • Previous experience in a customer-focused environment beneficial 

  • Successful problem-solving in a cross-functional team 

  • Good time management skills to ensure all reports are delivered in a timely manner 

  • Strong ability to report accurately
