Financial Reporting & Control Executive - Edinburgh

Wilkinson & Associates is partnering with an eco investment group based in Edinburgh. The group is sourcing a Reporting and Control Executive to help support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy.

Reporting to the Reporting and Control Manager you will work in a specialist team with responsibility for solar and other onshore renewable development investments. You will work closely with the Group’s development partners on the development of renewable energy projects and will support the Reporting and Control Manager in ensuring the Group’s standards of financial control and financial reporting are incorporated into all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the month end ledger close processes including journal entry and monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all balances are appropriately supported
• Deliver timely quality management information and analysis of the development business for senior stakeholders and those monitoring projects
• Prepare financial reports for the Group’s solar and onshore renewable investments which are in accordance with the parent Group’s governance and risk management standards and ensure appropriate accounting policies are applied for project and group reporting
• Prepare the annual statutory accounts for the legal entities and will foster effective working relationships with internal and external parties including Financial Management Group, Tax, external auditors, outsource service providers and advisors

Required Skills & Attributes:

• Qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA) with at least 2-4 years post qualifying experience in a financial accounting and reporting environment
• Knowledge of IFRS as well as month-end reporting and reconciliations experience
• Able to work collaboratively as part of a small team and have some demonstrable process improvement experience
• Foreign language skills would also be desirable
