Financial Reporting Accountant - Central Scotland

Wilkinson & Associates is working with a leading manufacturer based in Stirling to help source a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their Finance Department. 

The company has made significant capital investment into its manufacturing capabilities and is now reaping the benefits of this. As such they are now geared for growth and the role is well suited to an ambitious accountant.  

The position has overall responsibility for statutory financial and tax reporting and compliance. The individual will manage consolidated reporting of financial results and will help implement improvements and streamline processes for right first-time statutory accounting. It's well suited to accountants seeking to make their first move out of the audit/practice.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Management of statutory month-end reporting, ensuring completeness and accuracy  

  • Management of Corporation Tax strategic planning 

  • Management of other taxes including R&D and VAT 

  • IFRS16 analysis and reporting 

  • Consolidated financial reporting for EMEA Division 

  • Board reporting for  

  • Overhead forecasting 

  • External & Internal Audit support where required 

  • Support of budget process 

  • Management of one direct report 

Required Skills & Attributes: 

  • Qualified Accountant with post-qualified experience 

  • Statutory reporting experience or having audited financial statements 

  • Working knowledge of Corporate Tax and Tax accounting 

  • Attention to detail 

  • Presentation skills 

  • Analytical / system interrogation skills 

  • Experience of identifying and implementing process improvements
