Financial Control Manager - 12 month daily rate contract - Edinburgh

Wilkinson & Associates is working with a retail bank in Edinburgh to help source a Financial Control Manager for a 12-month fixed term contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the integrity of the financial information used in external regulatory & statutory reporting and internal management decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering an effective and robust financial control environment that safeguards the financial assets, identifies potential financial liabilities
• Managing month end close and b/s substantiation in order to deliver financial reporting that is compliant with international accounting standards
• Developing, and ensuring compliance with, a financial control framework
• Managing the impact of change on financial control processes and providing SME knowledge, including technical accounting advice to commercial colleagues on new commercial contracts, to support change
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships and using these to influence key stakeholders at all levels across the business
• Identifying and managing risks and issues as they arise and ensuring respective governance and control framework requirements are adhered to
• Building future capability through authentic leadership and personal development of my team

Required Skills & Attributes:

• Professional accountancy qualification with 5 years post qualified experience
