Role Purpose:

 

Reporting to the Finance Systems Manager, the Finance Systems Analyst’s responsibility is to work as an effective member of the team with a strong focus on data analysis/extraction and reporting and have very strong Excel/VBA skills.

 

The systems supported will include:

 

  • Finance ledgers
  • Financial reporting
  • Billing systems
  • Purchase to Pay
  • Banking
  • Interface solutions

 

The Finance Systems Analyst will have a good appreciation of finance data processes and policies, be expert in the use of MS Excel and VBA to handle, transform and report data from Financial systems and have a good understanding of transactional and reporting financial processes and key accounting principles.

 

 

Role Specific Skills and Knowledge:

 

  • An individual with a breadth of accounting and finance system experience, in particular in core finance processes, end user computing and specialist financial reporting packages
  • Excellent capability in Excel, VBA and in reporting and query tools commonly used with finance applications
  • A good understanding of key accounting principles and audit environment within which financial systems must operate within an international organisation
  • An understanding of accounting and reporting modules of ERP solutions and of the role of master data and access controls in the systems management
  • Has proven high levels of personal accountability and flexibility to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.Strong verbal and written communications, including experience documenting and communicating with regard to financial procedures and controls
  • Good interpersonal skills and a standout colleague who can work collaboratively to deliver common objectives
  • Effective partner management
  • Attention to detail
