Finance Operations Associate – Edinburgh – Hybrid Working

W&A is working with our growing client in the energy sector in Edinburgh to help source a Finance Operations Associate.

This newly created position will help ensure smooth back-office operations, manage trade confirmations and settlements, and support key financial controls as the business continues to expand and develop.

You’ll collaborate across departments—Finance, IT, Commercial, and Regulatory—and contribute to month-end and year-end activities making a significant impact on the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and improve back-office controls
• Process trade confirmations and settlements
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Support reconciliations, month-end, and year-end processes
• Propose and implement process improvements

About You:

• Experience in finance operations role, including reconciliations
• Familiarity with financial controls and process management
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Collaborative mindset and proactive approach
• Energy sector experience is a plus
