EU Finance Analyst - Edinburgh

Wilkinson & Associates is partnering with a highly successful FinTech to help source a graduate for a EU Finance Analyst position.  

The business has seen consistent year-on-year growth and continues on the upward trajectory as they implement their growth strategy.   

Reporting to the Group Accountant, the role will be responsible for the production of the consolidated group’s financial reporting as well as reporting for some of the group’s European entities.  

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to perform a various number of tasks in support of the group finance function as you progress and gain more responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Be in charge of bank reconciliations for a number of multicurrency accounts 

• Support VAT return preparation across European entities 

• Prepare monthly month end and recurring journals 

• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations 

• Prepare and issue quarterly intercompany invoices and review income invoices from across the globe 

• Support intercompany reconciliations and analysis, and development of a new intercompany process in Qlik 

• Fixed asset processing including capitalising new assets and running depreciation 

• Provide inputs to the monthly consolidated reporting files 

• Set up bank payments in online banking system 

• Manage recurring payments calendar 

• Provide back up and support for audit requests 

• Support the group finance function in day to day tasks, including collaboration with finance and Tax teams across the globe 

• Assist wider group finance team to achieve objectives of the group finance function 

Required Skills & Abilities: 

• Experience in using MS Excel for data analysis 

• Confident individual able to manage their own workload effectively to deadlines 

• Enjoy working as part of a high performing team 

• Good verbal and written communication skills 

• Personal commitment to high quality work 

• Ability to work closely with a number of teams and build up strong working relationships quickly 

• Keen eye for detail and be able to take action using your own initiative
