Debt & Capital Advisory Manager - Edinburgh

Wilkinson & Associates is partnering with a leading accountancy practice to help source a Debt & Capital Advisory Manager.

The role’s primary focus will be on Debt & Capital Advisory engagements, working as part of a diverse team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex financing issues from strategy to execution.

While predominantly focused on Debt & Capital Advisory, successful candidates will also be expected to work closely with the wider Business Restructuring Services team on a broad range of restructuring engagements, gaining experience across a range of transactions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes
  • Build meaningful relationships with people at all levels both internally and externally
  • Analyse complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations
  • Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations
  • Consider new ways of thinking, including leveraging the latest technology to create value for clients, the business and broader stakeholders
  • Pursue opportunities to develop existing and new skills outside of your comfort zone
  • Coach others and encourage them to take ownership of their development
  • Develop a perspective on key global trends, including globalisation, and how they impact the firm and clients

Required Skills & Attributes:

  • Awareness of the core suite of debt finance products available to corporate clients in the mid-market together with an understanding of the appropriate use
  • Relevant recent experience within practice or the financial services industry
  • Desire to participate and drive marketing and business development, strong relationship building skills and the ability to maintain a strong network in the market
  • Sound financial analytical skills, including use of Microsoft Excel
  • Awareness of restructuring, plus a genuine interest in how businesses work
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable communicating with all levels
  • Flexibility in terms of working across a diverse range of industries and roles
  • A commitment to continued personal development
  • Proven project and time management skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Flexibility where required as to working location
  • Report writing skills
