Cost Decision Support Manager - Edinburgh

Wilkinson & Associates is working with an established retail bank headquartered in Edinburgh. They have an excellent opportunity to join their team as a Transformation Finance Manager reporting to the Senior Decision Support Manager.

This role will be responsible for managing the financial performance of Change & Transformation. Additionally, the role will provide timely and accurate insight and analysis to my internal and external stakeholders to aid the decision making process. You should be comfortable communicating with and managing senior stakeholders and other teams across the business.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a commercial outlook, process improvement experience and a background of liaising with and influencing senior stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide financial leadership to Change & Transformation, ensuring alignment of planning and reporting cycles to Bank wide requirements.
• Reporting, analysing and interpreting actuals and forecasts for delivery costs as well as ongoing costs and benefits. Business review and challenge.
• Review of business cases before submission for approval, ensuring sign off, consistent treatment for capital spend and gaps to transformation/change long term plan.
• Working closely with PMO to ensure alignment across portfolio management.
• Developing and providing ad-hoc analysis and insight to improve business performance and highlight areas of concern.
• Manage and co-ordinate the planning process for Change & Transformation ensuring robust, achievable and stretching plans are in place. Ensure timely, accurate and concise inputs to plans and supporting Exec packs.

Required skills and attributes:

• Professional accountancy qualification with at least 3 years post qualification experience
• Experience of managing Senior Stakeholders
• Previous experience of financial modelling / data analysis and create insight from outputs.
• Data analysis / business insight
• The ability to work on multiple workstreams concurrently
• Verbal and visual presentation skills
