Corporate Finance Manager - Edinburgh

Wilkinson & Associates is partnering with a dynamic, progressive and successful practice based in Edinburgh as they seek to hire a Corporate Finance Manager. 

This role will play a lead advisory role in corporate finance transactions using project management experience. You will provide a high standard of technical service to clients, ensuring accurate and timely delivery in line with client requirements. 

With responsibility for the development of your team, together with their financial and operational performance, this is a key role in the management of the business. 

Our client is highly proven and coveted in the national deals landscape, as such there is a wealth of experience to be gained by the jobholder and the opportunity to become involved in all aspects of the deal lifecycle.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Actively manage and control the delivery of all aspects of assignments for a variety of clients 

  • Develop expertise and undertake detailed technical research of an advanced nature 

  • Delegate work effectively to team members, monitor progress of their work, and assume responsibility for the quality of their work, providing guidance and on the job training  

  • Work in an agile way to manage workload and ensure delivery to the clients’ satisfaction 

  • Play an active role in the sustainability, development and growth of the firm 

  • Be a primary contact for colleagues, clients, their professional team and your own business network, creating and obtaining referrals for work 

  • Identify and progress opportunities to promote the business in the marketplace, seeking new opportunities for the firm and securing new work, with the support of the BD team 

  • Assist with the marketing strategy of the firm 

  • Be an ambassador for the firm, taking opportunities for networking and client events 

Required Skills & Abilities: 

  • Suitably qualified with previous experience of working in a similar role 

  • Expertise in one or more of the following: Due Diligence / Transactions Services, Lead Advisory, M&A, Valuations, Fundraising 

  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and handling a client portfolio with strong client engagement 

  • Experience of managing a team 

  • Some experience of and further desire to network 

  • Excellent organisational skills and strong communication skills – both written and oral 

  • Ability to develop new business and create solutions and grow the business
