Business Advisory Services Senior - Edinburgh

Wilkinson & Associates is partnering with a progressive practice based in Edinburgh as they seek to hire a newly qualified accountant.

The role holder will undertake and execute planning and completion of accounts preparation assignments, including liaising with other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production of accurate monthly and quarterly management accounts to client and third-party deadlines
• Act as a point of contact for clients’ queries
• Undertake technical research and help to resolve technical issues as they arise following discussion with a senior member of the client team
• Attend client meetings’, taking an active role in the preparation, agenda and follow up actions and maintain contact with client throughout the entire account’s preparation and management accounts process
• Manage work delegated to junior members of the team while still being responsible for overall delivery to meet deadlines
• Assist with the review of accounts compliance work, as required
• Assist with the review of management accounts as required
• Be responsible for undertaking work in line with budget, manage fees and demonstrate commercial awareness on jobs, including setting expectations on deliverables with junior members of team

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Finalist/newly qualified professional qualification (ICAS/ACCA or equivalent)
• Candidates will be required to have a good working knowledge of clients accounting systems such as Xero
• Previous experience of working in a similar role
• Experience of working to tight deadlines
• Experience of a client facing role
• Experience of technical compliance and advisory work
