RISK & COMPLIANCE MANAGER

W&A is excited to partner with Broker Insights to assist in sourcing a Risk & Compliance Manager.

Location

Broker Insights is based in Dundee, the role holder will be required at least once every three weeks in Dundee, with the option to be more office-based or work mainly remote / hybrid.

Broker Insights is a leading provider of data analytics and market insight for the global commercial insurance industry.

Their award-winning platform compiles and standardises commercial insurance market data, enabling brokers and insurers to develop a new way of working together.

In 2023, the company launched in the US with a tailored offering for the USA marketplace.

The Position

The Risk & Compliance Manager will ensure the company identifies key regulatory requirements, ethical standards and information security risks, and proactively develops and implements frameworks and technology across the business to effectively mitigate risks.

With the company growing rapidly this role will suit someone ambitious, willing to take initiative and make themselves a key member of the team. They are looking for a self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate the identification of key risks to manage and mitigate these to prevent violations of regulatory guidelines and internal policies
• Develop and embed Governance, Compliance & Control Frameworks and provide independent reporting and challenge to the business
• Develop and oversee a suite of key business policies and controls to meet the key risk areas (e.g. FCA regulation, Information Security and Data Protection), ensuring these meet the requirements of the business and the standards expected by our customers, and lead the response to any data security incidents
• Assess the business’s strategic direction and new ventures to identify possible regulatory/compliance risks, and support the formulation of mitigating actions and controls
• Oversee delivery of a risk-based audit schedule identifying areas for improvement and ensuring mitigating actions are taken
• Adherence to all governance requirements and resolution of all risk and compliance action items within stipulated timeframes
