Baxters Food Group, Group FP&A Manager - Edinburgh

£Excellent + Benefits + Bonus Potential - Manufacturing / Engineering / Production - Qualified Accountancy & Finance
Ref: 1859 Date Posted: Monday 20 Dec 2021

W&A have recently been retained to assist Baxters Food Group in appointing a Group FP&A Manager.

Since 1868, the Baxter family has dedicated itself to creating high quality products from their table to yours. What they have grown together over four generations is an iconic brand that sits on shelves across the UK, maintaining a strong heritage while forging their future. Once a village shop, Baxters now has significant operations across the US, Europe and Australia, with over 150 products and they are proud to produce some of the UK’s finest soups, condiments, chutneys, preserves and beetroot.

George and Margaret Baxter started out with a mission: be different, be better. That thought goes into every ingredient they carefully source and recipe they lovingly create.

Commercial development and continued growth within the Group means Baxters are looking to recruit a Group FP&A Manager.  This is a critical role within the Group Finance function and at the very heart of the business, reporting directly to the Director of FP&A and Corporate Development.

The Group FP&A Manager will be highly analytical by nature and experienced in developing cutting edge insight, forecasting and reporting for strategic decision making. Additionally, this person will be involved in corporate acquisitions and disposals, development of business intelligence systems, reviewing capital expenditure and ad hoc confidential projects.

Key responsibilities include:

•Analysis of complex financial information for presentation to Board and Exec Management
•Work closely with Strategic Business Units to further develop monthly forecasting cycle
•Prepare regular dashboard, flash and KPI reporting and significant input into the development of the Group’s Forecasting and Planning software
•Supporting the Director of FP&A and Corporate Development in analysing potential acquisition targets, optimising business integration and creating new strategic initiatives

We are looking to appoint a highly credible Finance professional with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, high levels of initiative and emotional intelligence. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with approximately 5-10 years of post-qualification experience and will bring demonstrable skills and experience in Financial Planning and Analysis within a large corporate environment. Previous experience within transactions is highly advantageous and all applicants must be comfortable and proficient in working with senior stakeholders across the Group.
