W&A is working with a global retail banking group to help source an Audit Manager in Credit Risk. This position offers hybrid and agile working options and can be based out of either Edinburgh or Bristol.

You will work within the credit risk audit function which will require you to understand business priorities and risks to provide high quality independent assurance on the efficiency of controls to manage risk. You will also contribute to and seek to lead sophisticated and multifaceted assurance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and delivers a plan for significant aspects of audit control with guidance from senior colleagues
  • Manage relationships with meaningful internal customers and act as their business partner, while taking mentorship from senior colleagues
  • Highlights shortcomings and suggests improvements in current compliance processes, systems and procedures within assigned unit
  • Develops and delivers a plan for a specific area of responsibility by managing others.
  • Delivers own small-scale or medium-scale projects by working within an established programme management plan
  • Identifies and evaluates complex expertise-led solutions against a range of criteria to find the ones that best meet business needs
  • Takes ownership for implementing a team's formal development framework with guidance from senior colleagues, while informally coaching others throughout the organisation in area of expertise and pursuing and investing in opportunities for own personal development
  • Analyses key themes using data from a wide range of sources and identifies possible impacts on the business
  • Develops procedures and interprets and applies policy for area of expertise to achieve specified outputs, or advises the wider business on application of policy, then supervises implementation of those procedures within the organisation
  • Executes a communications plan by working within established communication systems and procedures
