Wilkinson & Associates is working with an established banking group headquartered in Edinburgh to help source an Audit Manager in Change & Innovation, Technology.

The role will be responsible for providing independent engagement assurance by leading a team specific to Change & Innovation. Additionally, you’ll be supporting the engagement assurance planning, ensuring coverage of all key risks, complying with regulatory requirements for Internal Audit, and deploying resources to best use.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with expert knowledge of auditing to advance their career in a critical leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing quality, efficient and effective assurance and influencing business managers to improve control
  • Supervising team members and supporting them through coaching and helping them to realise their potential
  • Driving assurance for regular and complex engagements
  • Leveraging Internal Audit’s industry leading audit methodology and tools
  • Ensuring compliance with global methodology within engagements and accurately keeping the audit management tool up-to-date
  • Managing multiple audits and activities at the same time
  • Building on an excellent Internal Audit position and influencing the evolution of the control framework

Required Skills & Attributes:

  • An experienced internal auditor with a strong background in auditing major change programmes with an understanding of risk management practices
  • Alternatively, a highly experienced project manager, risk professional or a provider of assurance over change programmes, who is keen with a career in Internal Audit will also be considered
  • Relevant qualifications such as CIA, CISA or PMI, this would be advantageous
  • Proven ability to deliver audits or other assurance activities on time, to budget and at pace
  • Ability to actively identify and help develop talent
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and influence senior stakeholders during audit delivery
  • Understanding of the wider business, technology and organisational change within a financial services organisation, including change methodologies such as waterfall and Agile
