W&A is working with a global asset management firm to help source an Accounting Implementation Project Manager.
Our client sells software solutions to their customers and this role plays an active part in engaging senior stakeholders and understanding their requirements. This team and product are a key area of focus and growth for our client therefore the position comes with a high profile.
Our client has a hybrid working model in place and the role offers the prospect of some European and International travel.
They’re looking for a candidate to work as part of their quickly expanding team to coordinate and be responsible for the various project tasks to ensure the implementation is successful. This includes effectively running the project plan, delivering key achievements and creating and tailoring project reporting making it an excellent opportunity to gain a variety of experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead accounting software implementations for clients
Coordinate and assist in the accounting software configuration, testing, and user training
Identify technology and process improvements to make the implementation approach more efficient with each new project
Develop a positive relationship with clients to support implementation and utilisation
Collaborate with the Client's senior management and key user groups
Developing a deep understanding of client and industry needs and conveying client requirements and feedback to the product team
Gain an in-depth knowledge of the software functionality and workflows, as well as industry-specific expertise (e.g., pensions, insurers, asset managers)
Sell the accounting software product suite by assisting in demonstrations and implementation pre-planning activities
Ensure a smooth transition from implementation to ongoing client support teams
Required Skills & Abilities:
Previous work experience in the financial services or accounting industry
Familiarity with the investment management process is desirable but not essential
Strong academic background
A relevant professional qualification is desirable but not essential
Extensive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey sophisticated concepts simply and clearly to clients
Well organised and able to lead multiple priorities with a hands-on approach
Knowledge of investment accounting or investment operations
Creative, analytical, and strong digital literacy with an entrepreneurial approach to large, multifaceted projects
